Looks like we are in Caraibi, Hawaii, Maldives… but take a guess: where are we?
Of course in Puglia!
Welcome to a trip into one of the most beautiful beaches of whole Puglia: Campomarino di Maruggio!
This magic place, located in Salento in the province of Taranto, is characterized by crystal clear waters, sandy dunes, olive trees, dry stone walls but.. there’s more!
Do you want to discover more about this dazzling place? Take a look at our article below!
Campomarino di Maruggio dunes
Wrapped in a beautiful lush Mediterranean scrub, surrounded by dry stone walls and olive trees, lies the beautiful beach of Campomarino di Maruggio.
The lush nature surrounding it is so precious that it’s protected and included into the Park of the Campomarino di Maruggio dunes!
This area is also full of history: nearby it’s possible to see Torre delle Moline, a beautiful tower raised in the XVI, anciently used to protect Puglia by the Saracens.
It is called “Dei Molini” because the processing of the stones used to create the mills (to produce cereals) took place in these areas: hence this name is so unique!
Furthermore, this beach is very equipped: here there are a lot of organized lidos for all tourists.
But don’ t worry: if you don’t want to go to the lidos, there are also free beaches!
So, if you love to take vacations among unspoiled nature and beautiful sea, add it to your bucket list!
Tips:
Currently Torre delle Moline hosts the Campomarino di Maruggio Info Point!
The Nature Reserve of Torre Colimena and Saline dei Monaci, another beautiful beach and reserve, is just 20 km from Campomarino di Maruggio: you can’t miss it! (click the name to read the article!)
If you want to be more relaxed and avoid the crowds, choose May or September!
