The enchanting landscape of Punta Prosciutto beach
The Punta Prosciutto beach is famous for the stunning sea but also for the secular coastal dunes which can reach up to 8 meters, covered by the luxuriant Mediterranean scrub.
The wild nature free from constraints and the unique ecosystem with lush flora and fauna and the also called ‘spunnulate’ by the natives (natural caves), has made this land recognizable but also vulnerable.
This is why this beach, also called Li Prisuddi in the local Salentine dialect, is part of the Natural Regional Park of the Coastal Dunes and of the Swamp of the Count – Parco Naturale Regionale di Palude del Conte e Dune Costiere”.
An enchanting place where the eye is lost among the sand dunes, the lush bushes and the bright blue waters.
This beach is characterized by the shallow waters and the white sand so it’s also perfect for families!
