Daunia Mountains is the westernmost area of Puglia, at the border with the Basilicata Region.
This is the unique mountainous and also most uncontaminated area of Puglia, where you can easily enjoy at the same time the big woods and the medieval villages.
On the Daunia Mountains there are little villages like Faeto, Troia, San’Agata di Puglia, Biccari, Celle San Vito and Bovino, where history, art and local food are very important.
Furthermore, the main nature activities that can be practiced here are hiking, nordic walking, bike tours, birdwatching, and much more.
On top, the colors of the Daunia Mountains during the Fall season are incredible and unforgettable, so don’t miss them.
